What kind of UD elements can be expected? 
This is the old coke bottle lens re-released with a built-in adapter... and not even the (micro-)USM version of it. Lots of people will be force-fed this via the "double kits", then become put off photography for good by seeing the soft and blurry images from using this lens on non-stabilised Canon bodies (since Canon also skimps on IBIS for anything that isn't at least mid-high range).
Heck, I'm glad I steered well clear of the RF system.
