Not sure what reviews you've been reading. Please stay within the Canon full frame section if you want to directly compare both, the ZF 35 has been tested by Klaus on the 5D Mark II, too. The Zeiss has similar vignetting, is sharper and no doubt has smoother bokeh. CAs are only slightly higher.
