Hi VL!
I'd recommend the 14-24 without any hesitation. It is very, very good. I used one for a while on my 5D II with a G-EOS adapter. The only reason I sold it on was because I got my TS-E 17, and that just is a little easier to use on a Canon camera (and slightly better <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />).
But it is a world class lens, nothing bad can really be said about it. If I shot Nikon I wouldn't think twice.
