If you are getting into baptisms and weddings, you might consider what lenses you need, since the light is not always optimal. The 7D will do that kind of work fine, but a good 1.4-1.8 portrait prime (or the 24-70 or 70-200 2.8) will probably make much more difference to your work than a new camera body (though you could then afford the 550D too). IMO, ultra wide angles are of limited use for such jobs.

[/quote]Well the sigma 12-24 would only be used for Landscape, and was thinking of the EF 16-35 2.8 II for weddings as I heard it is a super lens.
