Well, I have news for you <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I tried the Samyang 14mm f2.8 and could not get used to it; too hard to fit to my camera mechanically <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> I really had to use force to hear the click and I don't like that. To me that is already a non starter. After that I found the general quality insufficient; poor lens cap, etc.

Long and the short of it, I sent it back. So I'm back to another choice;

• another prime, Zeiss 18 or 21
• the 16-36 f4 or the N 12-24, but I find the latter too expensive for my use
• the new Sigma 12-24? Has anyone seen or heard any news, test or otherwise?

I had a Sigma 10-20 f3.5 DX which gave me no problems and would not be fundamentally opposed to another Sigma and my 24-70 f2.8 is super. I tend to think that a 12-24 is better than a 16-35, because of the shorter focal range and the Nikkor seems to have lots of distortion on the short end.
