The new Sigma 12-24 is still not available.
However the design seems promising. The new glass FLD/XLD makes wonder.
- look at latest review of Sigma 17-50/2,8OS. Sigma 8-16 and sigma 120-300/2,8
- tamron 70-300VC makes another breakthrough.
Since Sigma and Tamron uses Hoya glass I assume that Tamron marketing name XLD is the same as Sigma FLD – originally produced by Hoya
My advice is to wait if it can. However the sample variation at that focal length would be problem.
If you need it now. get Nikkor14-24
With Kind Regards,
Miro
