I'm not sure why there seem to be so many folks (on dpreview at least) stuck on the AW1's underwater capabilities. I mean, it's AW as in "All Weather" not UW (Under Water).
This is one of the best Nikon announcements in ages. I bet I am like a lot of people who constantly worry about knocking their camera into things or spray getting into the lens.
Forget under water, this is going to be such a killer travel camera. Not to mention hiking, canoeing, skiing, caving, paragliding, climbing, cycling,... It's an endless list!
Anyone want a very well looked after V1?

The AW1 can do this without any casing. Just on this alone I am seriously tempted to get it.
