After having the X-E1 18-55mm kit for around 6 months now I am returning here to give Klaus a big hearty thanks for producing these tests.
I can confirm that my experience with this lens has seen me become very attached to it, always delivering remarkably clear images this camera/lens combination is the best I have owned (including my beloved S3pro 20-120mm vr combo).
The optical image stabalization really brings this lens alive in low light, with practice its remarkable the benifit that can be had. The optional camera grip helps a lot here.
The Fuji primes don't include this image stabalization, something I am very glad I considered when choosing my first x system lens.
Again, in full daylight the kit leaves nothing wanting, the clear electronic viewfinder leaves no room for misinterpretation of what this lovely lens is feeding the sensor - for me at least the kit it is an absolute joy to use.
