It would be for a different purpose though. If I got an X Pro 1, it would be for the smaller size of body and lenses and it would be my travelling and street photo kit. With the 300s I would use it together with the D700 as a way to shoot only primes and have two lenses available at the same time without changing lenses. I have to admit though, Woytts reasoning makes a lot of sense, although it shoots my ideas down. Anyways, I am not in any particular hurry. There is so much new gear around, that it makes sense to sit quiet and wait for tests, etc. For what it's worth, I shoot 14 bits lossless compressed when I shoot landscape, for the rest I use 12 bits. Don't quite know whether I can see the difference, but then I never print larger than A3+, so maybe it does not matter.
