Sorry, I meant I don't know how much of a problem this will be for me. My main application for this lens will be motorsports, where I usually don't switch lenses very often (so I can probably get accustomed to it). The problem is the lack of alternatives. Sure, the 70-300L would be great but it's too expensive for me right now.



I'm probably going to order this lens at Amazon or some other place with a liberal return policy. Not only because of the zoom direction but also because of possible focusing issues and the automatic panning detection. However, I'm quite confident that this lens will work for me.
