I saw the announcement early this morning. My first thought was "meh, another round of boring & expensive lenses I have zero interest in"

Several hour later, first signs of doubt appeared (and I'm not a zooms person).

Now, I'm already thinking of what of my belongings can be sold to fund this totally meaningless acquisition. 

Although I have very high expectations about 50/1.2S, the Z 2.8S trio looks like out of this world. Each one of these lenses seems to easily beat many prime lenses that were introduced more than five years ago...

The market slowly starts to offer new and exciting stuff again as there was a point in time I thought the camera business is stuck.
