EOS R100 & RF 28mm f/2.8 STM announced
#3
I liked 28 mm lenses a lot when I still shot film. Back then 20-28-50-105 seemed the perfect set of primes for me, although I would have liked a 15 mm in additions as well back then. Out of reach budgetwise however Smile.

These days I do use 24 mm instead, but I guess that is really because of the TS-E, and the fact there is no 28L Smile.

BTW, the lens design and its elements are quite different from anything I have seen before. Just below the MTF-chart is the lens design. Rather weirdly shaped front lenses, molded asphericals. It looks like an inside out Tessar with a couple of lenses for the wide angle view.
Gear: Canon EOS R with 3 primes and 2 zooms, 4 EF-R adapters, Canon EOS 5 (analog), 9 Canon EF primes, a lone Canon EF zoom, 2 extenders, 2 converters, tubes; Olympus OM-D 1 Mk II & Pen F with 12 primes, 6 zooms, and 3 Metabones EF-MFT adapters ....
