I know your mini review. I apreciate its high.

Your lens seems me MUCH BETTER as my.

In case you will send me raw files I could try to evaluate your test shots by Imatest. It is enought to send (place om your web) four (for beginning only one?) extreme cornes shots of test chart at F 3,5.

If you want raw of this at f/3.5:

I can provide it, but I assume the Imatest works only with chart that fills whole picture. I don't have such shot, my chart is 4x A4 page format so it is probably too small for that, also non-flatness of taped pages will be more apparent at very small distance needed to fit chart.

That is not exactly true, try finding an f3.5 10mm sample online with that bad corners of this lens... you will find it hard.

No its not hard.

Anyway, just have a look here so you can agree with me and we can settle the op's question: http://hamish1975.wordpress.com/quick-and-dirty-test-of-af-s-nikkor-10-24-f3-5-4-5-dx-if-ed/

Quote of the operater of the page above: " 10mm wide open pictures are still very unsharp and “blurry” at the extreme corners but quality increases quickly and dramatically as you move towards the center of the frame, where it really is quite good to excellent. Stopping down increases the quality of detail in the corners also, but not really much before f8. In my sample it appears that the top corners suffer most."

Look at these crops and see how the one at 10mm f/3.5 corner is blurry:

But it is much better at 10mm f/8 and also at 12mm f/3.8.

So it behaves exactly like mine.
