Some gossips said that Helios was copied from Zeiss, It seems now Meyer Optik is coping Helios. Next logical step is Zeiss to re-label Mayer Optik <_<
If it's the same as the Helios 85 mm F1.5 Klaus has already reviewed it on this site..........see under Pentax, tested on the K10 the full scope of the lens's FOV lies beyond the APSc sensor, as does most of the bubble bokeh blur and all.
To quote Klaus from the review:
" I think the Helios would be a good boot camp for Rookies on a budget who want to explore the ultra-large aperture world"
Somehow the new version at $1,000 doesn't seem appropriate for rookies on a budget!
