Chris and Jordan confirmed the average or less-than-average optical quality of the Fujinon. For still photos.
But for filming it's a different story, according to Jordan: Chris and he were excited about the capabilities of the OIS, Jordan mentioned at 16:9 the corners are not that bad like on 3:2, the minimized focus breathing and good manual focus (although that part looked not very smooth). What also did look good, was the shape of highlights. Unfortunately onion rings...

I wanted to chime in here and say that I am really looking forward to the review of the new 16-80 f4 lens. I was close to getting it when it came out, but held off due to mixed reports. I would love to read a technical review that I can fully trust.

EPZ test is up:

That's why I love OpticalLimits so much: you guys are just and 2.5 out of 5 doesn't mean it's bad but average. Good for you :-) Anyway, I'm glad I purchased the Oly 12-100 f4 instead. It's a marvelous lens (despite the size), very sharp even in the corners at all focal lengths. Perfect travel companion.

Markus has it (and the 16/1.4, 15-45, 8-16) on his desk ...
It's time for a new bloodbath anyway ;-)
