Just teasing, just teasing ... 29 years in France already, wow!
I am pretty sure my English is not going to be close to your French at all!

Yeah time flies when you theoretically take a years sabbatical!! Smile

Again, I thought you were English ...... I can't remember seeing as much as a spelling mistake !!
For an English speaker French isn't easy,  masculine and feminine nouns and the appropriate grammar to accompany each genre are things that just don't exist in English.
By comparison English is very straightforward just a little quirky ...... and far more tolerant in terms errors.  ....... see here ......

As you can see, my "Ough" stanza shows clearly that English is just plain sailing ........ Smile

Wow, those 29 years started as a sabbatical .... Amazing!

And thank you for the compliment!

I actually lived and worked in English speaking countries for 15 years, and even though that was 23 years ago now, I still am quite deeply involved with a few English-speaking communities.

Of course, prior to that most of my study books were in English as well, my theses were written in English, and in addition I followed another 4 year course which was entirely in English, and included working visitis to English speaking countries. I guess that all helps. That and being married to a lady who does hold an M.A. in English literature. Smile

My foray abroad essentially was driven by my need to find a job. After my studies I found myself being unemployed, with no opportunities whatsover in Europe at the time, due to the oil crisis back then (I was a specialist geologist in those days).

Thanks to my old school education and later studies I do speak some French, German and Italian as well, although all rather rusty and requiring a couple of weeks of adaptation to get to a conversational level, but I do understand a fair amoount of the written word in those languages.
In that regard I think I was very fortunate with my education ....

On paper, they surely aren't but given the computational enhancements, they just might be (other than for long tele shots).

I can't answer for the iphone but the note 12 is nowhere close to good enough. There are several issues I frequently run into ranging from stopping motion and no way to know the shutter speed or similar; to critical focus is frequently off if the subject area is busy. Then critical sharpness is frequently off. You can get some nice snap shots but there are times I wish i would dig out my camera. I'd post a couple of note 12 images but too much effort to manually downsize to 500KB. I personally will never own an iphone for many reasons but I'm not particularly attached to the note 12 or samsung phones.

Well in many ways apple security is worse than MS. With android and cloud storage or whatever you have to look at the vendor since many have their own tweaks. Of course your claim might be that all vendors are worse than apple but then again that might not be your issue.

Then there are corporate issues but those are tangent. Again you might claim all companies are as bad or worse than apple or your issue might not be related.

As to the actual software well from a technical model android is of course more flexible but the detail of implementation frequently come down to vendor but again you might claim all vendors are poor or whatever then again it might be unrelated to your concerns.

We could talk about hardware but I can't imagine you are claiming apple is superior to all vendor present and future but perhaps you are making such a claim if that is your concern.
