Hi Kevin
You have broken my illusions that this two leses are popular only by collectors, pixel peepers and technical savvy ‘photographers’.
Your work at http://www.kevinlloydphotography.com/ is wonderful. Good photographic vision and perfect techichal execution /equipment, camera/lens light settings and post processing/. Definitely I’ll spend one evening to look at your pictures.
For people interested of outdoor photography I would suggest to look at

PS: BC and Marcus.Accoriding to Wikipedia the causes for appearance of PF are still not discovered completely. Some theory shows that they are caused by lenses somes are only digital cammera related.

Hey Miro, thanks for the kind words. I'll happily admit to being a bit of a gear head, but I do get out and shoot from time to time as well ;-)

Was looking at this Kevin Lloyd photo and wondering "How on Earth did he focus and get such a technically perfect photo in what looks like rather dim conditions?". What camera, lens, aperture and ISO did you use for that image, and was your camera in continuous-fire mode or did you happen to press the shutter button at precisely that instant?

Pentax K20D 77mm iso 100 1/250sec f5.6... excessive use of vignetting in post ;-)
Hi Marcus,
I have one question. What about the flare resistance of Sigma 150 OS. How it compares to Sigma 150 non OS? /flare and glare/
I asking this question, because I’ve just read the lenstip review of this lens.
As already POPO mentioned sigma 150 non OS is very flare resistant. In contrast to my Tokina 100 that it glares as a hell.
Thanks in advance,
Miro
PS : Klaus, I valued Marcus reviews very high. They are good addition to brief canon reviews. Marcus has added extra field information. E.g. flare/glare are parameters that are only available for Nikon section.

I'm afraid I won't be able to compare both versions directly, since I have sold my own copy of the non-OS several weeks ago already. However, I'll try to add my impression regarding flare to the review.
Please note that a flare/glare section will not be featured in every Nikon review. I usually add such a section only if I consider the flare behaviour of a lens to be an issue worth mentioning.

No surprises ... still a great lens in the APS-C scope as well.

Added some macro sample images here (which are not really suitable for a bokeh analysis due to the extreme focus spread).

Klaus,
The weight quoted in the review (1150) is with the tripod mount or without it? How much weight it will have without the mount?
regards,

With mount.
Without - dunno.
