Looks very decent.
I have been looking for this lens (and the 55-210) for weeks now.
Hopefully Sony will finally supply Europe soon. The 55-210 has been available in the US for months already.

Oh ditto. My wife was left without a fitting new year present because the 55-210 isn't yet sold over here. Nor the 50 (though we've tried both, and the 24, at the local photo fair in bloody October!)
In reference to the subtitle of this thread - yes, indeed, the bokeh looks great, esp. considering that this is large aperture, image stabilized lens. Very nice.
Here there's a comparison with the Zeiss 50mm f/2 Planar T* ZM ($781.00 at B&H)

Bokeh with the sony it's much better, don't you think?

Seems to be a bit better, yes, in the 1st of the forest comparisons. I wonder how the new Nikon 50mm f1.8 compares, that lens has quite smooth bokeh for a 50mm too.

This is the last link <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> , It remind me stf bokeh... I think that it's near perfect... I haven't seen a 50mm with this kind of bokeh.. maybe my 135 f1,8 doesn't have... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
