Whoa.. Tokina filling that big f4 hole in the Nikon (and Sony? No mention of supported mounts yet) line up. Still a long way before introduction, but curious how it will perform.

Finally a 70-200/4 for Nikon! It was about time...
If this will live up to the expectations, it is going to be a huge seller.
I still don't get how Nikon could miss to make such a lens. One of the (many) Nikon misteries.
SD reminds SDM from Pentax. Interesting, what will be future (if any) relations between Pentax and Tokina.

A very interesting mirror lens. If only they made it with AF, as at least they don't have to worry about aperture requirements for phase systems.

.....The 300mm mirror is a yawn. No AF for some reason??? (and before anyone says anything, Sony had a 500mm AF mirror lens. I even tried it once).

....no meal (or mash up in my case) is complete without onion rings....
....ahem, i actually bought one of these, to go with my sideways pictures i suppose, i thought i was trying it but found i was really buying it (sony retail policy you see, down here a "sony' on-line policy was for returns, but a 'sony' retail shop was not = the word 'sony' means nothing of course both outlets were a franchise, silly me for thinking otherwise - so just another $1200 or something back then flushed down the s bend - oh, i hope i'm not revealing any undue animosity towards the letter s)
- anyhow now it's for sale, going cheap, such a classic lens too
....and i'd hope that the tokina ultrasonic might last a tad longer than another companies hsm - yes fully 12 days till failure from new - smart, the returns policy lasts 7 days - i'm sure there is something about companies whose names start with an s :-(
----how i wish buying lenses wasn't such a p-i-t-a (for me)
