Well, for one, Nikon hasn't announced too many primes that would fit

into the shown characteristic ... and then I recalled that you wrote

there is a systematic difference in the vignetting data between Nikon

and Canon (of about 30%) ... so I compared it to the EF 24/1.4 and it

would fit quite well then.

Yep, would have been my guess as well - large aperture wide angle lens. And there was only one significant announcement for such a beast in Nikon mount recently... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Did you run into AF problems with this lens? Not that I'm buying one right now, but maybe next year...

None, yet. But I haven't had the time to use the lens in the field much, got it late last week.
