Forums > Back > Screen calibration software
#1
Hi Folks,

I want to calibrate my screen using spyder 2 sensor I have.

I just upgraded to windows 8 from XP

the manufacturer says that their device is not compatible with windows8 since screen have evolved since then.

I have the same screen, so why the calorimeter won't work now ? after it worked for years ?

is there any alternative to their software ?

how can I reuse spyder2 on windows 8

There is 3rd party software that can use older Spyder hardware. When I last looked, none of them looked very friendly though.

dA Canon 7D2, 7D, 5D2, 600D, 450D, 300D IR modified, 1D, EF-S 10-18, 15-85, EF 35/2, 85/1.8, 135/2, 70-300L, 100-400L, MP-E65, Zeiss 2/50, Sigma 150 macro, 120-300/2.8, Samyang 8mm fisheye, Olympus E-P1, Panasonic 20/1.7, Sony HX9V, Fuji X100.

The reason just is that the software/driver is not updated. It happens.

Installed the old software on windows8 and it worked nicely.

they should show some respect for their customers by updating software or at least not giving lame excuses like we won't update the software for your hardware because screens have evolved.

Cameras too have evolved, yet I can find excellent software from canon to my 300D
