Probably the exact same optics, just new coatings ( looking at the 24-70mm f2.8: same max. mag., same focus distance, same look of the optics from the front, same number of groups and elements, same dimensions, lightly increased weight due to weather sealing).

So that will most probably mean same awful bokeh. So still a very undesirable lens.

Does anyone really compared SAL2470Z to its SAL2470Z2 MK2 ?


I have ordered it to my A7R and must wait until 20 of july.

After disappointing dark E lenses. I hate my SEL2470Z <span>bland colors, dark, flat</span>


and after bad in my opinion new just coming E lenses

it looks like my first (1999y) Sony miniDV camcoder = violet branches


but still no solution to continous focusing via LAEA4 adapter on A lenses mounted on A7R
