i pointed the camera, pressed the button at a reasonably fast shutter (1/1250th) and this came out - i visited the local photoshop, booked it in, added an effect to disguise the boring boats behind (can't remember which one, sorry - long time ago) and posted it here to fill in this vacant (until now) space - enjoy . . . if possible

the lens was the tokina 300/2.8, quite cheap and now discontinued - supposedly a film only lens i was told but for me it made some lovely pictures on digital -

Hi,

I love surfing very much and this is fore sure a perfect moment you catched...

...however, the photoshop effect is to much IMHO. Is it possible to see the

original image - please <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

I think the original is better, though I do like the photoshop effect. Normally I hate those htings, but it seems to work here.

I think you captured a good moment, would be nicer with some sort of contact with the surfer, but you hardly ever see that.

well, know it's just perfect! I love the color, the bottom turn and the very short exposure time...

...with other words - it's ready for the surfers magazine :-) very well done!
