I know some of those articles but never cared to check for myself.

Btw. I send in the Sigma 35/1.4 to check on Monday this week. And got it back checked, cleant and back lens cap replaced on Thursday Smile. Didn't check for reliability improvement yet.

This new Canon lens is very nice indeed BC!

However I heaved a huge sigh of relief comparing it it to my AF35mm F2D which of course beats the pants off this new Canon with;

                     fabulous colour rendtion/addition on all contrasty edges wide open......

                     wonderful softness in the vignetted corners and edges........

                     beautiful bokeh in the corners at the point of focus even when stopped well down.....

                     the ability to throw it further at any incoming attackers..... Tongue  :wacko:  Smile

Interesting Sigma comments with respect to focusing, focus throw isn't the reason though as it's fine in LV!.......
