What's the point for video of having 4K video when it doesn't go beyound 3 minutes ?
Nikon D500 can already do this.
We need answers from Nikon for this. Maybe it will be solved in the upcoming firmware otherwise this is a very serious weak point
Naaa, we don't need answers from Nikon. Canon always was the better choice when it comes to video. The little detail I just found on DPReview: The screen of the new Canon reacts as touchscreen, as soon as you record video. Meaning: Tap on the screen, foucs jumps to the point you were tapping at. That's IMO the best way to do that. The D500 has an articulated screen, finally and also a touchscreen, but the D5? Has a touchscreen, too, I just couldb't find a manual to confirm this function.

The 1D-X mkII sensor also has an improved micro lens and top of the sensor structure, to capture more light, and on chip ADC to get less read noise.
In my above points I was wrong about the D5's FPS thing: if you buy the single most expensive XQD card it will do 14bit RAW in a 200 image buffer too, according to Nikon specs.
