Dpreview explains why the typical 'DSLRs are better at focusing' statement is now long gone:

I love how they always do the "AF following a subject across the frame". In reality, that is usually not how photography works (the photographer frames a shot... he or she really does that).

Not exactly sure what that dpreview blurp actually "shows".

Is it actually hard to perform a decent comparison test that does not compare nonsense, to actually show how cameras perform??

   I've forgotten what review of the D80 I read that when testing tracking AF said that it's performed on a poor level compared with it's siblings!

  Good as it is the Sony,  Tony Northrup's/ TCS  assessments showed it had weakness in the viewfinders's refresh rate as well as a tendency to lose focus for a while before catching up again.

 For sport I think we are still...."Cheer Mirror-less.....shoot DSLR

DPreview?

This guy always tries to do a decent job of actually testing/comparing. One can nit pick about validity of details of his tests, but he tries and does a better job than other online sources that I know of.

I've seen a couple of this guys reviews, he is very competent and fair;

 The Sony certainly shines against the Canon here, impressive indeed!

  Now where's the link for A6300 vs the Nikon D500,

Thanks, I didn't know this reviewer. Very thorough testing and impressive results for the A6300.
