For those who prefer a ready made translation: http://www.lens-rumors.com/new-patent-ta...4-vc-lens/

Filed 18 months ago (2/2015) and "just filed" is a bit confusing?

And the "vibration proof group" might be a "vibration reduction group" - on a f/1.4 lens  ^_^ that will be a first in FF?

I'm so disappointed they didn't manage to put a ND filter in it  but these (The Nikkor as the Tamron) are for sure great lenses for every photog who simply has to wear eye-shades to look at least cool. And I don't want to have the foot on the wrong place once such a big-diameter glass block slips out of my hand. Over at Nikon rumors the GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) already jumps in squares and I think the elder guys there have to buy it because it looks so "manly".

If it actually hits the shelves it will be welcome competition against Nikon's 105mm F1.4  that's been announced.

Nikon thought that they had found a relatively clear space in the market for their unsympathetically priced 105: F1.4.

The Tamron though may well put a spanner in the works with VC thrown into the bargain...

...I feel Nikon are getting round the drop in DSLR sales by asking ridiculous prices for their plasticy top line lenses, optically good or not!

Well... when there was a rumour about a Tamron 85/1.4 VC lens, I was excited. Then it turned into a 85/1.8 - pretty sweet all the same. A 115mm f/1.4 (even if it's actually just a 113mm lens  Rolleyes) may be a little on the large side - for starters, it mandates a 86mm filter (or larger)...
