First off, I apologize if this may come across as an attempt to hasten the testing process (well... now it certainly will). But I wanted to compile - with everyone's input welcome, of course - the list of lenses that may pose interest to the community, with the other forumites chiming in with their choices, and the PZ's Klaus and Markus (probably) offering their take on the likelihood of these lenses getting through the lab. As these lenses will be reviewed, I may strikethrough their names in this thread to denote the accomplishment - but I'm rather more interested in the Zoners' take really.
I promise that I won't post any really left field stuff - though someone else may. I'm not posting the very new stuff (from the Photokina '16 basket) either - I'm sure its time will come anyway.
Canon:
- 100mm f/2 (full-frame)
- 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 (full-frame)
- 70-200/4 L (full-frame)
- TS-E 45mm f/2.8
- TS-E 90mm f/2.8
- MP-E 65mm f/2.8 (all right... it was a lame joke on my part)
(hmm... looks like the native Canon stuff is really well covered by now)
Sigma:
- 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
- 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 (non-II)
- 24-35mm f/2 "A"
- 30mm f/1.4 "A" (the SLR one)
- 30mm f/1.4 "C" DN (the mirrorless one)
- 50mm f/2.8 Macro
- 50-100mm f/1.8 "A"
- 50-500mm f/4.5-6.3
- 180mm f/3.5 Macro
- 180mm f/2.8 OS Macro
- 150-600mm f/5-6.3 "C"
Tamron:
- 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3
- 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3
- 70-200mm f/2.8 VC
- 35mm f/1.8 VC (in Nikon mount, to establish the result on a 24MP sensor against the earlier 50MP test in the Canon mount)
- 45mm f/1.8 VC
- 85mm f/1.8 VC
- 90mm f/2.8 Macro (new generation)
- 180mm f/3.5 Macro (full frame)
Tokina:
- 11-20mm f/2.8
- 12-28mm f/4
- 14-20mm f/2
- 24-70mm f/2.8
- 70-200mm f/4
- 100mm f/2.8 Macro (full frame)
Now, I'm not a Nikon user but I took the liberty to add a few untested lenses from that brand that I know of:
- 16mm f/2.8 fisheye
- 16-80mm f/2.8-4
- 24mm f/1.8
- 24-70mm f/2.8 VR
- 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 G VR
- 105mm f/2 DC
- 135mm f/2 DC
- 200-500mm f/5.6 VR
And a few Sony lenses off the top of my head. I surmise that the A mount lenses are not going to be tested anymore, but there's a few that haven't been touched:
- 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6
- 35mm f/1.4 G (just for kicks - we all know it's lame)
- 50mm f/1.4
- 50mm f/1.4 ZA
- 50mm f/2.8 Macro
- 100mm f/2.8 Macro
Now that I mentioned Sony, a few E-mount ones have not yet been rolled:
- 20mm f/2.8
- 24mm f/1.8
- 24-70mm f/2.8 GM
- 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3
- 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6
- 28mm f/2
- 70-200mm f/2.8 GM
- 85mm f/1.4
And the third party ones for that mount:
- Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8
- Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2
- Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8
- Samyang 14mm f/2.8
- Samyang 50mm f/1.4
I'm not posting any supertele requests because it's really pretty useless to test the Canon big whites (or their equivalents from Nikon or Sony): at that price point, there's little doubt that they're going to be stellar from center to corner at any aperture; pretty boring from the "inquiring minds..." point of view. AFAIR Markus dabbled in that once - testing the Nikon 200mm f/2 lens - and it was just that: perfect from the get go, all around.
