I wonder if they kept the distortion on the wide end reasonable, or rely on "software will fix it"? It is a "G" lens after all.

Considering the fact that it doesn't extend I'm positively surprised. Regarding the f/4 at 105mm it isn't terribly big I'd say.
Reminds me a bit of the ancient Minolta 28-135mm f/4-4.5 (in scope).

Rumored to be the king of pincushion distortion at the long end.
I'd be happy to see this review... heck, and just about any review at this point, after probably the longest drought in the history of PZ.

I asked whether there was any interest. It is an expensive lens to rent so I didn't put a high priority on it. Eventually I will test it.
