Any comments relative Olympus offering on an Oly body?.
I have the lens and use it on the EM-5. I like it more then the Olympus 40-150 I previously had. Images seem crisper at 150mm. And the zooming is much smoother.
By the way, the filter size is 52mm, not 49mm as listed in the specifications.
Only reason to buy the M. Zuiko is the low price. CyberPhoto in Sweden have following prices:
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150/4-5,6 + Olympus Pen Street bag - 17 x 17 x 10cm) - 1490 kr (Swedish kronor) = 164 EUR
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150/4-5,6 -2690 kr (Swedish kronor) = 296 EUR

I'm in USA and over here the panasonic is $180 and the olympus lens is $150-$200 but you can get it for $100 when buying a camera.

It sounds like the 45-150 is better at the long end and is generally slightly better. I wonder how it compares to the 50-200 and 45-175. Any comments ? (the 50-200 can be found for $200 on sale - if you are lucky else closer to $250 - i realize it is a larger lens but mostly concern about the optics) and the 45-175 seems to be the most expensive of the 4 - running around $350. Again I'm mostly concern about the optics at the long end (not so concern about usage with video where I hear the 45-175 is better).
I've read the review at ephotozine for this lens, and they don't seem to get results that are as sharp, specifically at the long end. Is this sample variation? I'm not doubting the testing at this site. I'm looking at buying a mft camera + lenses, and I'm curious what to expect.
If in doubt just download the sample images.
