I was surprised to see the 18-120mm and 150-600mm on this list.
The MTFs of the 18-120mm aren't THAT great, and the 150-600mm is too slow at the long end at least.

I guess it is at least partly a marketing driven list.
To give a complete picture, these lenses are not considered future-proof according to Fujifilm:
XF 14/2.8
XF 16/1.4
XF 18/2
XF 23/1.4 (the old model, not the current LM)
XF 27 (non-WR, but since they share the same optics it's likely not on the list simply because it's discontinued)
XF 35/1.4
XC 35/2 (surprisingly, since it shares the otics with the XF 35/2, which is on the list)
XF 56/1.2
XF 56/1.2 APD
XF 60 Macro
XF 10-24
XF 10-24 WR
XC 15-45
XC 16-50
XF 16-80
XF 18-55
XF 18-135
XC 50-230
XF 55-200
So, of the whole Fujifilm X lens portfolio, 20 lenses made it on that list, 19 did not.

This list is clearly marketing driven.
When stopped down the old 35mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.2 are very sharp.
Also the 14mm f2.8 is very sharp.
I used to own the 23mm f2 and it wasn't as sharp stopped-down as the lenses above.
