My thoughts, too, but fortunately someone else did <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Hmm, they seem to have added an aspherical element, didn't notice before. I think the previous version hadn't. Will be interesting to compare the two side by side.
Rem: Users of Leica summicron 35/2 and summilux 35/1.4 for Leica M, could go on for ages how much "nicer" the image of the old spherical versions over the newer aspherical ones is. In that context "nicer" doesn't mean a better control of aberrations, actually quite often the opposite.
The story is a nice example of "the internet never forgets". Though in principle putting this on your website must constitute copyright infringement. Something every German is very clued about these days. Did I hear someone whisper "PhD thesis" <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
