As seen on dpreview, a lensrental blog....



Fun and nonsense with UV filters....

What is most impressing though is - given the impact even 5 good UV filters have - how well modern lenses with 15 or 20 elements must work....

Filters have the disadvantage of being plan parallel. You get many more multireflections than with the curved glass-air surfaces within a lens.
