Right, let's see if I understand this correctly:
Pentax Q's sensor area is 0.6x of that Panasonic LX5's.
The 27.5-83mm zoom lens is f/2.8-4.5 (as opposed to LX5's 24-90mm f/2.0-3.3).
And with this zoom lens RRP is $1,100 - twice the LX5's.
Am I missing something here, or it's just another "Ricoh GXR"?

Well, unlike MFT or NEX you will have small tele lenses (but no small DOF, of course).
This has a certain value.
The GXR is fairly big in comparison I guess.

When? In 2 or 3 years from now? They didn't announce any proper telephoto yet, so I assume it is some time away. In their SLR range Pentax has not proven to be a speed demon when it comes to releasing new stuff. I just fail to see the point in an interchangeable system until there are lenses available.

You think so? I am surprised that you want to test it.
With that small a sensor all this "adapting odd lenses" game doesn't make sense. Actually I think you need an in-lens shutter. So which lenses do you want to test? I assume the toy and fish eye lenses will not be the next PZ high scorer, which leaves the prime and the std-zoom.

Hi, got ontop of the shutter issue (I think). Quote from Pentax US side:
"Type: Lens shutter, electronic shutter** Shutter speed: 1/2000 to 30 sec (lens shutter), 1/8000 to 30 sec (electronic shutter w a lens shutter lens), Bulb ** When using the electronic shutter setting with a non-lens shutter lens, shutter speed 1/8000 to 2 sec, Bulb, aperture adjustment, and ND filter setting NA."
It seems the toy and fisheye lenses do have a manual aperture or focus.

According to dpr they have a fixed aperture. And manual focus.

Well, that's good for testing. ;-)
And for just 100EUR the fisheye is a no-brainer. The point of the other two toy lenses is mysterious to me though.
