But at least the aperture would work on the Oly lens.

I support the
  • Olympus Zuiko 7-14mm f/4

  • Olympus Zuiko 14-35mm f/2

  • Olympus Zuiko 35-100mm f/2

  • Olympus Zuiko 150mm f/2

just for personal curiosity <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

The Canon is about as workable on MFT as the 150 mm Olympus. Both need an adapter, both would not provide AF functionality (on Panasonic MFT bodies MF only, on Oly MFTs AF may work to some extent with the Oly lens, but it is likely to be slow as mud and/or inaccurate without correction by manual focusing).

I think the AF works on the GH-2 as well - except for the 150. And it is really irrelevant for the 7-14.

That´s probably (not) the reason it costs north of 2000 Euros? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

The Canon lens will not be usable because you just can not close the aperture. With the Olympus lens, 4/3rds can close the aperture fine.

Your suggestion still makes no sense.

And yes, the price for the fast 4/3rds lenses are high.

Just to mention - if someone is willing to provide Olympus Zuiko lenses for testing I would be more than happy to do so ...

Out of curiosity, which camera would you use for testing? The L10 or the GF1?

Thanks J.

Depends a little. The L10 for sure. Maybe one or two reference reviews on the GF1.

Well, seems as nobody is interested in providing samples anyway. It was worth the attempt I guess.
