Is that surprising ?
Essentially it is/was a silent phase out just like over at FT/MFT.
I'd also add that Sony arguably has the best transition path open for users switching between alpha and FE/E bodies. Slap on the phase adapter and you have near enough a SLT. Having said that, I haven't looked at it since the A7 series first arrived. Does that work for FE or is it E only?

Honestly that adapter is crap. I ruins the handling.
In a physical or other way? I haven't tried it, but at least it exists at all. Thinking more, does it cope with screw drive lenses? I might be undoing my own comment here!

The LA-EA4 adapter works fine with screw AF on my A7R.

LA-EA4 Adpater is the king road to fullframe. What do I need FE lenses when there is so so sweet Minolta and Sigma A-mount glass out there? What do I need FE24-70 when I can get a Minolta 28-105 or a 24-85 for a tenth of the FE lens price?
FE mount lenses are big marketing gag... optically a big disappointment .... some of them not worth considering ... they were introduced to again open your wallet!
