User friendly Camera suggestion
#11
Quote:Well, how about the Canon SL2 (200D). Due to the smaller size, it physically has fewer buttons. As simple as that.
Also a good suggestion, or even an SL1 / 100D for that matter.

Kind regards, Wim
Gear: Canon EOS R with 3 primes and 2 zooms, 4 EF-R adapters, Canon EOS 5 (analog), 9 Canon EF primes, a lone Canon EF zoom, 2 extenders, 2 converters, tubes; Olympus OM-D 1 Mk II & Pen F with 12 primes, 6 zooms, and 3 Metabones EF-MFT adapters ....

Quote:I'd suggest a different approach: if she likes what she's doing and the results she gets, offer her to explain some of the basic functions on a camera, and how adjustments influence the results (aperture, shutter speed, exposure compensation) or how to use them creatively (on a basic level). And which of the many buttons are really important for this... it's just a few in the end.

Good idea!

Holds true for any of the suggested cameras here.
