Can I give myself a plug?

In Australian English this means to promote oneself.

Well, in Bohinj - Slovenia, where I live there will be a hiking festival here over the next three weeks.

The organisers have asked us (http://www.thelightinbohinj.com) to be part of the festival by offering an introductory photography tour.

I've made a promo video and even if you don't plan to come I'd apprecriate some feedback.

And if you want to see what we get up to, please "Like" us on Facebook:

Hi Andy, I find the character of Bohinj area very well captured.

What came in my mind as ideas: as slow down is a kind of a motto and video the medium, how about slowmo waterfalls, slowmo hiking shoes in the grass, little insects and fishes? I found it very interesting to rest in a place and discover the less obvious creatures. Also persons just relaxing or watching could be nice. Are barbecues allowed at some places? This is for a lot of hikers part of the fun.

The clouds were super when they moved like an ocean! I just found that sequence a bit too "up-tempo".

Joachim, thank you for your comments.

This video was just a quick one, but for another project I have in mind I will put in your suggestions.

Not sure about BBQs. They are not so popular for Slovenes out in the open.

Hope to entice you to come over again - with all your new "toys".

I like the clouds part too, although it does seem to be sped up a tad too much. The photos are of other events, so the whole does not really feel like it addresses the event at hand (hiking festival) that much, at least that is how I perceive it?

The production on the whole looks pretty good.

Brightcolours, thanks.

Yes, I had a problem with the hiking festival and no hiking photos. They (the organizers) wanted us to take the guests hiking and shooting, but it is only an introductory course and the focus is on photography and not hiking. And as we are only willing to do a 3 hour tour the photos more or less reflect where we can realistically go.

Of course if you (or any other PZ member) want to come and do a full course you will definately go on a number of hikes.

As for the production, I know only the basics of Final Cut Pro, so I 'm glad that you think it's OK.
