Lens mounts are breeding like effin' rabbits again... 2 new ones this year (and it's not even May). But maybe someone would donate some of this stuff for testing purposes?

Does this get an award for being the most expensive (APS-C) kit zoom lens in the world?

Apart from the Leica branding, what does this system get you that you can't already get?

A great fan of this brand might look forward to the next winter, when there's a chance of freezing your fingers on the surface of this nicely designed full metal block. Symbiosis, at least  ^_^ I do like the look, though. I don't like the proportions of the EVF, but since I don't like those prices ...  Big Grin Great. Another camera in the shelves of few dealers. Anyway, they could have done worse to celebrate Leica's full century.

At least it's not like the Habbelsad (which, incidentally, might be THE most expensive).

At first, the announce looked like they were actually doing a big modern step. But when you scratch a little more, not at all. They're advertizing a slab of aluminium, basically. A little sad, again but that 23mm might do wonders.

I remembered the reskinned body they did, but couldn't remember if they changed the lens too, or what price it would be.

i-Leica is  ready for release as T system. Big Grin

It might turn to be a good product, but a way too expensive.

Just saw this linked elsewhere... Leica made a 45 minute video of someone hand polishing the body of the T. I haven't watched it all the way through but that does show where some of the cost in the system goes! Thankfully the voiceover does stop going on after a few minutes so you can leave the rest playing in the background Smile

The only caution for Leica with this style of advertising is the expression "polishing a turd..."
