Quote:I think the problem is to expect Canon 1D or Nikon D3/4 level of tracking performances from tiny mirrorless cameras. To be completely fair, the 40D was, IMHO, quite poor at tracking (still better much than an OM-D though) and judging by how many cameras still rely on "canon like diamond shaped full of gaps AF zones" or "nikon like only in the center super dense array of zones", I think mirrorless cameras are going to get to this level or are possibly there already.I'm not even looking at far up the chain. If a mirrorless system can give me continuous AF performance of even a low end Canon DSLR I'd be happy. And as far as I know they're not even there yet. The Nikon 1 was reported to have about that performance in good light, but its phase AF didn't work at all in lower light.
