Looks a lot better than the Tamron of the same FL/aperture.

Definitely. The Tamron is also in the pipeline of D7000 reviews. Sample images are already on SmugMug.

Ah, I never noticed that the old review was on the D200. Well, too bad for the Tamron as the D7000 will probably make it look more ugly yet.
