Sensor cleaning brush
#1
Hello Fellow Photozoners,

This is the third post in a row tonight. But I have sevaral quetions today.

I own a EOS 5D I and used to clean the sensor with a VisibleDust wipe with 'sensor' fluid, but I want to try a dry brush instead.

Does anybody have used these brushes? Do they work well and what is a reasonable price? And if you happened to live in the Netherlands, then maybe you can point me to a company which sells them.

Thanks.

Best wishes,

I have a dustpatrol sensor brush. Works fine for me, never used anything else, (but then I have self-cleaning sensors (550D), unlike the 5D). Is not expensive and easy to carry on a trip. I ordered online, but don't recall exactly from where, maybe http://www.micro-tools.de/

I spin the brush rapidly and blow air through it with a rocket blower before using it. Afterwards, I spin and blow air through it to clean out the dust. So far I didn't have to clean the brush in any other way (dustpatrol gives an elaborate cleaning protocol). I was also careful to never touch it to avoid grease on the bristles.
