New Sigma 60mm F2.8 DN
#1
Much more info then on any news site could be found here:

http://www.sigma-global.com/en/lenses/ca...tures.html

MTF:

No lens construction yet.

By the way, redesigned 19/2.8 & 30/2.8 are shown with exactly same lens designs & MTFs

Same shallow lens hood for all 3 lenses:

Anybody else puzzled by the smooth barrel ?? Is it still a "focus ring" ?

Also, still no lens designed only around MFT. A bit sad to see Sigma behind Tamron here.

I've to admit that I'm a little annoyed. I just tested the 19 & 30 in their old incarnation ...
#4
19 and 30 are identical, aren't they ?

This is like an iPhone: unless you have more money than sense, you have last years model <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

If the optic didn't change: who cares?

Does the 60 make sense given the olympus 60f2.8 which is a stellar lens in addition to being macro ? Maybe they started designing it before olympus annoucement but I find it difficult to see how this lens can compete.
#8
On price ? If it's priced like the other two between 100-200€
#9
It might be less than the macro but the macro is not outrageous like the 75 (though like all olympus lenses the hood is outrageous). Also the near total lack of loca on the 60 along with very high resolution and pleasing bokeh well we shall see <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

It´s not a macro lens but it does focus fairly close (50cm). If it´s good and cheap I might actually sell my 60mm M.Zuiko because I don´t need true 1:1 macro stuff that often.
