New Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC HSM
#1
New 30mm F1.4 DC HSM by Sigma has a very different optical design with front element much smaller.

Looks like a simplified version of their latest FF 35 F1.4:

Hmm, nice. Looks promising.

So, it's about time to publish the review of the old one, then, I guess... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Looks promising. Who will be the first to mount it on a full frame to see how big the image circle is?... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

Looks promising, just as I was thinking that old 30mm (I sold :-() could make a nice metabones speedbooster lens, given AF works not too poorly.

APS-C to MFT image circle reduction still works and would make a 42mm equiv f/1.0.

I'm not too fond of 50mm equiv.
