I am stating the Canon MSRP prices, to which you also refer concerning the new 24-70mm f4 L IS USM.

The 24-70mm f2.8 L USM II is also a new lens, and is down in price quite a lot already.



So, why would you expect the new f4 to remain at the Canon stated retail price?



Compare like with like (MSRP to MSRP). And I donnu where you shop either <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />
