The Nikon 70-200 f/4 does not focus breath. At least not in the conventional sense that DSLR people use the word. The lens on my D800 shows a focal length of ~ 280mm at MFD. This was measured using the ruler method at MFD, zoom at 200mm and simple trig math. Online calculators generated the effective focal length from the AOV. Video people would consider this breathing because the focal length does change with focus distance.
