So that answers the question of what systems would their lenses be available for when they hinted at CSC lenses earlier. *if* I were to do mirrorless again, I think both NEX and Fuji are the systems my heart would choose and this isn't helping... although the typically Zeiss pricing does provide a natural resistance barrier <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
<a class="bbc_url" href="http://snowporing.deviantart.com/">dA</a> Canon 7D2, 7D, 5D2, 600D, 450D, 300D IR modified, 1D, EF-S 10-18, 15-85, EF 35/2, 85/1.8, 135/2, 70-300L, 100-400L, MP-E65, Zeiss 2/50, Sigma 150 macro, 120-300/2.8, Samyang 8mm fisheye, Olympus E-P1, Panasonic 20/1.7, Sony HX9V, Fuji X100.
Odd; I wonder how these lenses for the nex will interact with the sony branded zeiss lenses. Maybe a change in the relationship ?

Zeiss in not making anything to compete with Sony-Zeiss 24/1.8. And they don't compete with other Sony offerings price-wise.
Also, it looks like Sony is more a camera-maker than lens-maker for now <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
So having wider lens selection is a good thing for them.

I recall that Sony also made the E-mount open to help it gain traction. I guess it is working. And by not limiting their lenses to NEX, they can gain other markets like Fuji, and in future maybe Canon or even Samsung too.

The 12mm f/2.8 is interesting. Perhaps I should go for a NEX-6 after all?

The lens range (2.8/12, 1.8/32 and 2.8/50 macro) kinda overlaps on Fuji lenses who already has (or has roadmap) many primes but is perfect for NEX.

Because of that I had to make a list so I can see where they fit too... items indicated with - are not available yet.
Fuji:
-Zeiss 12mm f/2.8
-Fuji 14mm f/2.8
Fuji 18mm f/2
-Fuji 23mm f/1.4
-Fuji 27mm f/2.8 pancake
-Zeiss 32mm f/1.8
Fuji 35mm f/1.4
-Zeiss 50mm f/2.8 macro
-Fuji 56mm f/1.4
Fuji 60mm f/2.4 macro
Sony NEX:
-Zeiss 12mm f/2.8
Sony 16mm f/2.8
Sony 24mm f/1.8 Zeiss
Sony 30mm f/3.5 macro
-Zeiss 32mm f/1.8
-Sony 35mm f/1.8
Sony 50mm f/1.8
-Zeiss 50mm f/2.8 macro
Looking at these, the Zeiss 12mm will be the widest lens available. The Zeiss 32mm might be a bit of a squeeze with the 35mm lenses close by, where the Fuji is faster, and the Sony offers OSS. The 50mm macro would be a longer option for Sony, but Fuji's existing 60mm is already in that ball park. Of course, this does not consider any possible optical performance differences between them.
