Generally quite nice although the bokeh could be a little better at the image borders.

The center quality is breathtaking even at max. aperture whereas the outer image field is a bit soft here. From a real world perspective this is surely acceptable because you are rarely really after edge-to-edge sharpness when shooting at f/1.4.
That is true. However, if one regularly puts his subjects on side of the frame because of compositional reasons, he will want tack sharp corners. [url="http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/607298/0"]My 35/1.4 could do that[/url]. Yes, it was bigger, heavier and more expensive so it's not really a surprise but once you got used to something good it's hard to go back.

The eye in your sample image is not merely touching our "border" definition ...
