Thanx for the test!
Is it field curvature which has less impact on typical real life use or is the lower resolution at borders real?

Field curvature (as well as slight decentering) is compensated in the tests by refocusing at the specific test spot on the image field. In the real life you may see it at 16mm at large aperture settings when taking images of a flat object. However, it is not extreme.
Hello Klaus,
thanks for the test!
A small amendment: This lens is NOT rated as a "G" lens, for whatever reason!

The E 24/1.8 has surely priority ... if I can find a supplier that is.
I wonder if the zeiss 25f2 would hve better corners.

Hi Klaus,
It will be good if you also test these lenses on A55/A77 type camera.
Otherwise the impression goes that the lenses are weaker than they actually are.
regards,

Pls provide a single reason why these lenses should be any better on the A65/A77.
