I'm currently testing the Sony E 16mm. The native vignetting is in excess of 3EV at f/2.8.
Seems as if the NEX 5 did indeed apply vignetting auto-compensation here.
3EV for an APS-C is a new record by a FAR margin ...
Ack is 3EV enough for a automagic 1* rating ?

Hmm, you are really sure. It should be not hard to detect the higher noise amplitude at the borders. And why is Sony not doing it anymore for the Nex 7. After I read about all the problems with the Nex 7 I suspect the sensor. Maybe we will see in some years a much better sensor. So long I will stick to the Nex 5.

Well, it looks like the 50 is performing half decently, wonder how the 24 is? With the rest of the native glass probably out of question the proof is in the alts (mind you, I have no intention to use alt glass any time soon but most people are probably thinking the other way around).
